As Chair of her firm’s National Diversity Committee (NDC) since 2009, Ms. Vogt helps to advance women lawyers and to foster a professional environment that attracts women and sustains and supports their career development. The NDC promotes gender diversity through monitoring equal opportunities to work on career advancing files and creating mentoring and leadership programs, parental and leave policies, flexible work arrangement policies, and business development initiatives focused on women clients and lawyers. Ms. Vogt has gained leadership support for these important and highly regarded programs. Her inclusive approach has elevated the level of discourse on these sensitive issues, greatly helping the firm to develop leading policies.
Ms. Vogt frequently speaks both within and outside the firm on advancing women in law. She never fails to impress and inspire young women with candid talks on being a committed parent and a very successful lawyer. As a mentor and leader, she has fostered change and opened doors for women lawyers in her firm and in the profession as a whole. She has shown by example that women can achieve partnership and managing partner status in a national law firm while managing a busy home life. Her own prestigious career, combined with being a mother of five children, is a testament to finding workable solutions to the work-life conundrum that most professional women face.
