BWT Marquee 2016: Meet Maureen Daschuk

BWT Vancouver is excited to present another one of our panelists for our Annual Marquee 2016 Event, Maureen Daschuk from BC Hydro!

Maureen has worked as a Strategy Consultant for a Boston Based consulting firm, was Vice President of Strategy for a Technology start up and Director of Corporate Strategy for TELUS. Maureen moved from Strategy into Operations Management and led a team of 450 field technicians at TELUS.

Maureen joined BC Hydro in September 2009 as the General Manager of Field Support Service (Materials Management and Fleet)

  • Became Director of Resource Strategy and Management in June 2011.
  • Became Director of Distribution Project and Program Delivery in April 2013.
  • Became Director of T&D Program and Contract Management in March 2015.

Currently, Maureen manages the delivery of T&D work programs totalling $400 million per year and leads a team of more than 130 people. Programs are collections of similar activities that can grouped together to gain efficiencies in delivery. A good example is the wood pole replacement program. Maureen’s team also manages the contracts with our Distribution Line Contractors as well as the Vegetation contractors. The team strives to get as much value as possible out of every dollar we spend in delivering work programs safely and on time.
