Mark Breslaw – TELUS, Vice-President – People and Culture
Mark Breslaw is Vice-president, People & Culture, supporting TELUS Health and Payment Solutions, Business Solutions, Business Customer Experience and Technology Strategy. During his 16-year tenure at TELUS, in addition to People & Culture, he has played key roles in a wide range of business areas, notably Information Technology, Consumer Sales and Finance. Mark is passionate about growing the Diversity and Inclusiveness strategy at TELUS and co-founded the TELUS Abilities Network, a TELUS team member resource group supporting team members with varying abilities. Mark is very active in giving back to the community and works with the Canucks Autism Network, Autism Speaks Canada, the B.C. Children’s Hospital, and Junior Achievement B.C.
Kristen Rasmussen – TELUS, Vice-President – People and Culture
With 12 years at TELUS, Kristen Rasmussen is the Vice-president of People and Culture supporting our Consumer and Small Business Solutions and Broadband Networks organizations. During her time at TELUS, Kristen has held positions focused on strategic planning, business enablement and most recently People and Culture. These positions have given her exposure across multiple business units including information technology, business, field operations, network planning and build and retail. Kristen is known for being an authentic and trusted collaborator. Her passionate beliefs that people are our critical competitive differentiators have become hallmarks of her personal motivation and brand throughout her TELUS career and beyond. This belief has been showcased in her commitment to diversity and inclusiveness, which includes having served as co-chair of the Vancouver Chapter of Connections, the TELUS women’s network from 2013 to 2015. Prior to joining TELUS, Kristen worked primarily in the consulting industry as a management consultant. Kristen is a trained coach from the Coaches Training Institute and has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Queen’s University.
Daren Sanders – BC Hydro, Senior Manager, Customer Service Operations
Daren is the Senior Manager of Customer Service Operations at BC Hydro. He has worked in the utility industry for over 20 years, at BC Hydro and with several consulting firms. His current areas of responsibility include revenue cycle operations and mass-market contact channels. Daren has a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia and a MBA from Simon Fraser University. He is a registered Professional Engineer as well as a Chartered Professional Accountant. He lives in Vancouver with his wife and two daughters, and coaches soccer in his spare time.
Janet Fraser – BC Hydro, Senior Vice President, Energy, Regulatory and Business Planning
Janet Fraser was appointed BC Hydro’s Senior Vice-President, Energy, Regulatory & Business Planning in April 2015. She joined BC Hydro in 2010, and previously served as the company’s Chief Regulatory Officer.
Janet leads the team responsible for integrated resource planning, economic and business development, demand side management, regulatory, business planning, enterprise risk management , and policy and reporting. Seeing the value in collaboration and unified direction, she is focused on working with all parts of the business to ensure the company is planning and driving towards the same goals.
Prior to joining BC Hydro, Janet spent seven years with the British Columbia Transmission Corporation in a number of senior leadership roles. In addition, she held a variety of roles in the resource sector at Westcoast Energy and Fletcher Challenge.
Born and raised in British Columbia, Janet is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) by profession.
Andy Cobbold – SAP Canada, Group Vice President and Head of Global Support Centre Canada
Andy is a Global Software Executive who has successfully led global teams and cultural change within organizations at several software vendors. During his career Andy has lived in Europe and North America. He is currently an executive leader in SAP’s Product Support organization within SAP’s Global Service & Support (GSS) division. As the Head of the Global Support Center in North America (West) Andy leads a team that supports SAP’s diverse product portfolio and is focused on delivering world-class technical support to SAP’s customer base.
As a member of the Canadian Executive team Andy also leads many local initiatives to help coach, mentor and develop the managers and leaders of the future, as well as to nurture early talents within Vancouver.
Andy has a track record of success within the world of software support. Before joining SAP he ran worldwide support for Business Objects, whom he joined in 2006, and led the transformation of their support business. After the acquisition of Business Objects by SAP, in April 2008, Andy was instrumental in leading the successful integration of the Business Objects support team into the broader SAP support organization. Prior to this Andy worked at BMC Software where he built and led a centralized European Support operation that provided technical support to BMC’s customer base across EMEA.
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Lancaster, England.
Agnes Garaba – SAP Canada, Director of Human Resources
As the HR Director, Agnes has been working with the SAP Executive Leadership Teams across Canada to drive business execution through best in class Human Capital practices and employee engagement. Agnes has also been the Vancouver HR Site Lead and Senior Human Resources Business Partner at SAP Canada since 2012 supporting a variety of departments including the Sales, Support, Finance, IT and Marketing organizations within SAP. In this capacity, Agnes has become a strategic partner to her business leaders advising them on a variety of HR topics from workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding to advising on compensation strategies, employee development and performance management.
Agnes joined SAP in 2006 and worked as a corporate recruiter before becoming a Human Resources Business Partner. With over 12 years of progressive Human Resources experience, Agnes has worked in a variety of organizations such as Electronic Arts and Eagle Professional Resources besides SAP. Agnes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Europe, she is a Certified HR Professional and also holds the Management Certificate in Human Resources from BCIT.
Agnes lives in North Vancouver with her family. Outside of work, she keeps busy with her two young children.
